What Are Clear Aligners and How Do They Work?
Clear aligners are custom-made, transparent trays that fit snugly over your teeth. You'll wear a series of these aligners, each slightly adjusted, to gradually move your teeth into the desired position over time.
Unlike traditional braces, clear aligners are nearly invisible. They're made from transparent plastic so you can straighten your teeth discreetly. Most people won't even notice you're wearing them!
You can easily remove clear aligners for eating, drinking, and special occasions. This means you can continue enjoying all your favorite foods and maintain your regular oral hygiene routine throughout your treatment.

Plan Your Treatment
We'll take 3D scans of your teeth and create a personalized plan. You'll see a digital preview of how your smile will transform over time.
Get Your Custom Aligners
Your clear aligners are crafted to fit your teeth perfectly. We'll show you how to wear and care for them so your treatment can stay on-track.
Wear and Progress
Wear your aligners 20-22 hours a day. You'll switch to a new set every 1-2 weeks, which will gradually move your teeth into position.
Show Off Your New Smile
Once treatment is complete, we'll check your results and provide retainers. We'll help you maintain your beautiful new smile with simple, long-term care instructions.

A Mount Juliet native, Dr. Josh Gunnels combines his background in engineering with a passion for working with his hands and helping people. After graduating from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 2008, he returned home to open a practice rooted in integrity, compassion, and gentle care.
When he’s not crafting smiles, Dr. Gunnels enjoys hiking, fishing, and staying active with his wife Jenna and their two children. He’s proud to serve his community both in and out of the office
