Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is used to improve the appearance of teeth that are chipped or cracked, and discolored. It can also be used to change the shape of teeth and to close spaces between teeth.
During the dental bonding procedure, a tooth-colored composite resin is is applied and molded to the tooth. It is then smoothed to the desired shape and then hardened using an ultraviolet light or laser. After the material hardens, it is then shaped and polished to match the surrounding teeth.
Dental bonding is typically a painless and easy process which can take place in one dental visit, depending on the number of teeth to be done. If the teeth is taken care of, bonding can last from three to about 10 years.
